The much-anticipated facelift of India’s most loved compact Sedan Suzuki Dzire is likely to be launched on 4th November. The compact sedan will go under a comprehensive upgrade with major upgrades in its powertrain. It is likely to be equipped with the new 1.2L 3-Cylinder Z-Series Petrol Engine like the Maruti Swift. It will also get revised interiors, and exteriors. The Dzire, a popular sub-four-metre sedan, is getting a significant design and feature update to make a stronger position in the Indian markets.
Under the hood, the 2024 Dzire is expected to be powered by the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z-Series petrol engine from the new generation Swift. This engine produces around 80 BHP and 112Nm of torque, with transmission options including a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The sedan will be also offered with a CNG option with the same engine and 5MT transmission option. The new 3 Cylinder Petrol engine will enhance the fuel efficiency significantly, making it the most efficient car in the segment.
Inside, the new Dzire will be packed with upgraded features to cater to the evolving demands of Indian customers. The car will come equipped with an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a blind spot monitor, automatic climate control and cruise control.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire competes with the likes of Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze. Maruti Suzuki is quite bullish with this new gen Dzire to tackle the increasing competition in the segment.
