Mg announces the complete prices of their CUV Windsor. The EV starts at Rs 13.50 Lakh with the battery cost.
Mg Motors India has finally revealed the prices of their latest EV Windsor with the battery cost. The EV is offered in 3 variants starting from Rs 13.50 Lakhs going all the way up to Rs 15.49 Lakhs. The Windsor is available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. The OEM is offering the EV under 2 schemes.
First is the battery rental option which the company refers to as Battery-As-A-Service(BaaS) under which a user can purchase the EV for just Rs 9.99 Lakhs and pay 3.5Rs/Km as a rental for the battery. BaaS reduces the upfront cost of the car significantly by reducing the cost of the battery. Consumers can pay for the battery as they drive according to the km driven. The other one if the conventional option under which the user can purchase the car and the battery both as a whole.

Mg Motors is offering a lifetime warranty on the battery for the first owner of the EV. Apart from this, the users will have the option of an Assured buy-back of 60% after 3 years of usage. The OEM is also offering one year of free charging for the EV across all public charging stations via the eHUB mobile application. The BaaS model reduces the upfront cost of the car significantly by offering the battery as a rental service. BaaS will be attractive to budget-conscious buyers.
MG Windsor EV Battery and Range details.
The MG Windsor EV is powered by a 38kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery featuring prismatic cells. The battery offers a claimed range of 331 km on a full charge. The vehicle’s motor, mounted on the front axle, produces 136 HP and 200 Nm of torque. It also features four driving modes: Eco+, Eco, Normal and Sport.
For charging, the Windsor is compatible with fast charging at 45kW, allowing the battery to charge from 0 to 80% in 55 minutes. MG also offers 3.3kW and 7.7kW AC chargers, with a full charge taking approximately 14 hours with the former and 6.5 hours with the latter.
