VW India has updated the list of variants for the Virtus and Taigun. The Virtus lineup gets extended with the introduction of 2 new variants – GT Line and GT Plus Sport – starting at Rs. 14.07 lakhs and Rs. 17.84 lakhs. Additionally, VW has launched a new Highline Plus trim for both Virtus and Taigun. The new Highline Plus trim enhances the list of features in the lower-end variants. VW has launched these models to enhance sales this festive season by catering to the needs of a wider range of audience.
The Virtus GT line comes with the more sportier black interior borrowed from the 1.5L TSI variants. The GT line now takes those sportier interiors to the 1.0L variants also which a big plus point. It features black alloy wheels, a blacked-out grille, roof and wing mirrors, dark chrome door handles and a gloss black spoiler. GT Line badges appear on the fenders and boot. The GT line badge comes in RED colour which really distinguishes it from the other variants of the Virtus. The GT Line variants are filled with features including an electric sunroof, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system, six airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), front fog lamps, red ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, hill hold control and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It gets an all-black upholstery with grey stitching giving it a sportier feel in the inside also.
The GT Line variant if offered with the 1.0L 3 Cylinder TSI engine while the GT Plus Sport trim comes with 1.5L TSI engine.
Volkswagen has introduced a new Highline Plus trim for the 1.0 TSI variants of both the Virtus and Taigun, placing it between the Highline and Topline trims. This new variant shares many features from the higher Topline variant, including the 8-inch digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, push-button start/stop, sunroof, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and follow-me-home lighting functionality.
