Kia Seltos received its mid-life update last year with minor exterior and interior changes, but now Kia has started to test the next generation of the SUV. The 2nd generation of the SUV is set to make its global debut in 2025. Kia is definitely looking at strengthening its position in global markets like India with the launch of the updated SUV. Seltos was the first car of the OEM in India and it has played a major role in establishing the brand in such a competitive market like India. The upcoming generation of the SUV has already been spotted in South Korea previously, but it is the first time that the SUV made its appearance on Indian roads.
The second generation of the SUV is expected to get completely updated interiors and exteriors. The updated SUV will feature a more upright front end, complemented by a newly designed LED headlamp. At the rear the SUV follows the same design language as seen in the EV5. The recent spy shot only gives us a glance of the rear end of the SUV and the front profile is still under disguise, the rear end gives us a hint of the SUV’s bold styling direction.
In terms of powertrain, the SUV is expected to carry the same powertrain options which are currently being offered, 1.5L NA Petrol, 1.5L Diesel, and 1.5 Turbo Petrol. It might also get an option of a petrol hybrid powertrain for the first time in the global markets.
