MG Motor India is riding high on the success of its latest electric offering, the Windsor EV. Launched in September this year, the Windsor EV has quickly become a game-changer for the brand, achieving the status of its best-selling model in November. This premium electric hatchback/crossover has struck a chord with buyers, thanks to its innovative features, competitive pricing, and unique battery rental program.

In November alone, MG sold over 3,100 units of the Windsor EV, outpacing all other MG models by a significant margin. For context, the next best-selling MG vehicle last month was the Hector, with 1,106 units sold. The Windsor EV’s success extends beyond its brand, outperforming competitors like the Mahindra XUV400, Citroën eC3, and even MG’s own ZS EV in terms of monthly sales.

The Windsor EV is available in three variants, priced between ₹13.50 lakh and ₹15.50 lakh (ex-showroom + battery cost). However, what truly sets it apart is its Battery as a Service (BAAS) program. This innovative scheme lowers the upfront cost of the entry-level variant to just ₹10 lakh, with battery rental priced at an affordable ₹3.5 per kilometer. This flexibility has made the EV more accessible to a wider range of buyers, contributing significantly to its popularity.

Beyond its attractive pricing, the MG Windsor EV delivers a well-rounded ownership experience. The premium interiors boast an array of features, a spacious and practical cabin, and modern dashboard tech.
